when she came down for a drink of water. She quickly called an ambulance that took me to the local hospital where the doctor said I would need surgery. My surgery was scheduled for the next morning, but it was postponed since the correct hip replacement wasn’t available. It was at this time, that my sister and friends got involved and suggested that I return to the States for surgery. Opposing that view was the surgical assistant who said I couldn’t go as I could possibly get a blood clot and die. I called SkyMed, who worked out the details with the doctor, and who arranged for an ambulance to pick me up from the hospital and take me to the airport. Once there, a plane was waiting for me, and I was flown to Houston. Another ambulance transported me to the hospital for my surgery. Since my sister was living in Houston, I stayed with her until I was well, and then SkyMed arranged a first-class commercial flight for me to go back home to Mexico.
How did you find out about SkyMed and why did you choose SkyMed? “I live in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. A SkyMed Representative was speaking at the Garden Club, and I bought a SkyMed Membership. I became a member because I was sold on SkyMed’s promise that they would ‘take me home and bring me back’.”
What would you tell your friends about your experience with SkyMed? “My friends have become SkyMed Members because of my story. It is so important to have SkyMed.”
Do you have any tips to share on ‘how to’ survive a life challenge? “Be prepared. Air evacuation protection is important in any place you travel. I really recommend SkyMed to everyone.”
