said Ray was in shock and he was taken to the Emergency Department in Bonavista, Newfoundland, in a very remote area that had only ten beds. He was diagnosed with Sepsis and Cellulitis of his right leg and his white blood count was over 40,000. Ray was very sick and was transferred to Dr. GB Cross Memorial Hospitalfor further testing and treatment. That’s when I called SkyMed.
Since Ray was very weak and in no shape to drive and I couldn’t drive the RV home, SkyMed arranged to have our Airstream returned all the way from Clarenville, Newfoundland to Harrisonburg, Virginia. That was such a stress reliever for both of us and I was able to focus on Ray. SkyMed also arranged to fly us home and provided a medical escort to accompany us along the way. She was very kind and gentle but took control when needed and she was absolutely wonderful!
How did you find out about SkyMed and why did you choose SkyMed? We heard about SkyMed at an Airstream rally about ten years ago and we liked knowing it would take away the pressure from our family members. We always left a pamphlet with our daughter and told her not to worry about us if something happens.
What would you tell your friends about your experience with SkyMed? We tell them SkyMed works and what we just experienced was a true test as to what SkyMed does. The friendliness of everyone was wonderful when we needed help and they took care of getting our RV home. Our trip was cut short but having SkyMed on our side turned it into a positive experience. We never leave home without SkyMed and anytime we call we always get a live person which is so important!
