in her abdomen. At 4PM, fearing a heart attack, her husband, Stanley called SkyMed. SkyMed directed him to arrange for a ground ambulance. Stan called 911. The ambulance arrived for Joyce in less than five minutes! Joyce was hooked up for an EKG to check for a possible heart attack. At this time, she was ranking her pain level a high 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. Ambulance attendants quickly assessed her situation and suggested an appendix attack and issued pain medication. She was then immediately transported to Banner Goldfield Medical Centre, in Apache Junction, AZ. Following blood work and other testing, it was confirmed an emergency appendectomy was needed. She was instructed not to drink ANYTHING, not even a single sip of water, or surgery would be postponed to the next day. Following those instructions, Joyce underwent surgery that very evening at 9PM. Joyce, now much better, says the invoice for the ambulance came the day before they attended their next SkyMed Member Appreciation Event in Casa Grande, AZ. “What a relief it was,” says Joyce, “to be able to hand the invoice directly to the pleasant lady behind the SkyMed greeting table and not worry about it anymore!”
How did you find out about SkyMed and why did you choose SkyMed? Recently Joyce contended with a bout of squamous cell cancer. “This made Stanley and I realize that situations CAN happen to us. We reached out to a SkyMed Representative and became SkyMed Members.”
What would you tell your friends about your experience with SkyMed? “We tell our friends that there is ‘No Better Service Anywhere.’ We feel that we don’t have to worry anymore. We tell people that it’s the best money we ever spent and the best protection we have ever had.”
